Department of Railways and Canals Annual Reports
Sources for these annual reports include the Internet Archive, Hathitrust Digital Library and Canadiana.ca. The Department of Railways and Canals was formed in 1878 and merged into the new Department of Tranport in 1936. The annual reporting period commenced on July 1 until 1907 when it then began commencing on April 1. The Railway Statistics of Canada was an appendix to these reports until 1919 and can be found on a separate page on this website.
